The post is full time – 37 hrs per week (with some flexibility required)
Salary – circa £50,000 per annum depending upon experience
Leeds Student Medical Practice (LSMP) is a dynamic GP practice, close to the University of Leeds, caring for over 40,000 patients mostly students, their families and younger workers employed studying in the City. We have a vacancy for a proactive Practice Manager to join our large, supportive, and friendly team. As an organisation we have expanded rapidly over the past number of years and our ambition is to continue this growth. We are seeking an experienced Practice/Operations Manager who has experience in a Senior Operational Role and a solid understanding of both operational and clinical management. The successful candidate will be responsible for organisational leadership, service improvement and delivery of key targets across the full range of clinical and administrative areas within the practice. A high degree of personal organisational skill is required as well as a systematic approach to problem solving and planning.
You will lead and direct the teams supporting the Partners and Executive Business Manager within all areas of management including patient services, finance, IT and facilities management.
The role is pivotal to directing and delivering the quality of care efficiencies, therefore requires experience, motivation and passion to deliver excellent service within general practice.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate previous management and leadership skills in a health care setting and excellent interpersonal skills. You will need to be highly organised and have superb time management skills. You will have demonstrable experience of leading teams whilst understanding the business requirements and acting as a champion of change.
Beyond that, you will bring positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people.
