A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager, with excellent team leadership skills who would thrive working in the 2nd largest practice in Cornwall with a great team alongside them.
Carn to Coast Health Centres is a successful & dynamic multi-site medical practice in Cornwall with a growing list now in excess of 29,500 patients. The practice area is centred upon the North Kerrie locality which includes the Camborne-Pool- Redruth conurbation and the surrounding countryside right up to the north coast. The main surgery is in Pool with nearby branches in Illogan, Camborne & St Day. The Practice has a cloud-based telephone system serving all its sites and hosted clinical and document management software (EMIS Web and Docman 10).
Carn to Coast has eight GP partners and a full-time non-clinical Managing Partner, responsible for strategy, finance, business development and legal issues. Clinically we have a full skill-mixed complement including salaried GP’s, advanced nurse practitioners and paramedics. We are a training practice (both GP registrars and medical students) and also engage in clinical research.
A vacancy has arisen for a Director of Operations to lead the day to day running of the Practice and its systems, reporting to the Managing Partner & supported by an existing team of managers. The DoO will have a central role both in ensuring the smooth running of the Practice and in continuing to adapt its systems & procedures to meet the demands of scale and growth.
In order to fulfil this role, ideally the successful candidate will have experience in hands-on senior management either within a GP Practice or the wider NHS and have strong skills in terms of Practice IT and demand/capacity management. A sense of humour would also serve the postholder well!
In return, the practice can offer a great team atmosphere led by a forward-thinking and cohesive partnership. There is a mutually supportive practice culture here and the DoO would be joining the team at the perfect time to build on the opportunities available to a financially stable practice of this size…oh and we run a mean Christmas party!
The successful applicant will be expected to meet the English language fluency requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016.
Closing Date Friday 22nd March 2019
