We are an enthusiastic and energetic practice providing care to 9,800, largely urban, patients in the beautiful Highland capital of Inverness. Our current managerial and administrative team consists of a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, an Admin Team Lead and administrative teams covering: patient contact, prescriptions, data entry and typing. Our clinical team consists of 6 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, a visiting GP Professor of Rural Medicine, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, an Advanced Pharmacy Practitioner, three Practice Nurses and two Healthcare Assistants. We have also recently welcomed 2 practice-attached Active Health Link Workers to enhance our work on addressing wellbeing and social determinants of health. Our training community consists of GP trainees at various stages as well as undergraduate Medical and Pharmacy students.
We currently operate from a Victorian Villa but are working on an innovative and exciting premises plan for the future.
The successful applicant will need to be energetic, adaptable and forward-thinking, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership approach and excellent communication skills. Experience of General Practice is highly desirable but an exceptional candidate with less Primary Healthcare experience may be considered. Good financial acumen, IT and HR skills are required.
A full Job Description is available on request. In brief, the Practice Manager will have full responsibility for the smooth running of the business.
