Cumbria Medical Services provide NHS specialist services in Community Dermatology, Minor Surgery and Ophthalmology, utilising the excellent facilities of our community hospitals and GP surgeries.
Due to the forthcoming retirement of our practice manager, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated individual to manage our dynamic, innovative, well established, award winning service.
We are a committed, hardworking and forward-thinking team, based in the attractive market town of Cockermouth on the fringe of the Lake District. We treat an average of 1,300 patients a month and have a reputation for providing excellent patient care.
The successful candidate will have the vision and drive to keep the service moving forward, adapt to the constant changes and challenges in primary care and maintain a profitable, efficient working environment. They will work in close cooperation with the directors and be supported by an Assistant Practice Manager and a dedicated, loyal administrative/clinical team.
The candidate must be appropriately qualified and demonstrate excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills, along with a proven track record in HR, business management and finance.
Previous experience in healthcare management is highly desirable but not a prerequisite.
Salary and hours will be discussed at interview and will be competitive and dependent on experience.
