Role:  Practice Manager

Hours: 37.5 hrs over 5 days Mon-Fri

Salary: £38-£45,000 dependent on experience

About Upton Village Surgery:

Voted within the Top Three Practices in Cheshire by the most recent National Patient Survey: we are looking to recruit a passionate and proactive Practice Manager to join our enthusiastic and friendly clinical team at our well-established three Partner GP Practice.  Upton Village Surgery is located within the City of Chester and serves a growing list size of over 7,500 patients.  

The Practice is one of four in the Chester East Primary Care Network (PCN). We work closely with our PCN colleagues and are further developing our workforce as a group.

We are a high-achieving Practice with good ratings from CQC, QOF and the National Patient Survey.

Our new Practice Manager will be supported by our Partners and our great patient services team.  We are looking for a positive and engaging leader who is well organised with excellent communication skills.  Previous NHS experience is not essential; we are predominantly looking for an individual with the right leadership skills to join our Practice.

Main duties of the job:

• Strategic management of the planning and development of the business.
• Management of the surgery budget, claims, payment, and finance processes
• HR Management of our multi-disciplinary team
• Overseeing the day-to-day activity of the patient experience at the GP Surgery
• Responsibility for delivering all national and local service requirements
• Responsibility for working in collaboration with the other three practices in the PCN to deliver the PCN contract requirements
