Salary and renumeration

The role offers a competitive starting salary in the region of £35,000 with a 1st year retention bonus, ongoing profit share 1.75% (from year 2), contributary pension, 25 days holiday (+ BH) and access to a company occupational health scheme.

About our client:

Our client is a busy Private Practice Group based in London, with a long-established history and enviable reputation for delivering a broad range of primary care and diagnostic services. They are now seeking to engage a Practice Services Manager to join them in one of their premium practices to manage its next period of expansion and growth.

About you.

You will have experience in operating within a senior reception or patient services role within a health services environment where you will already be managing or leading a small to medium sized FOH and dispensary team. You will have had extensive patient facing experience in your career to date and a strong desire to develop your career in a wider management and operations role within health care.

This role requires you to possess both the charismatic and leadership qualities that will gain you the respect and commitment of your team.

The Role

Working with the existing front of house and reporting to the COO you will take responsibility for all aspects of patient services delivery across the business covering:

  • HR
  • Payroll
  • Finance
  • Strategic planning
  • IT skills
  • Communications - patient and digital
  • Partnership management

 Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a health management environment within NHS, Dental or Private Medical Practice
  • Educated to A level as a minimum, with a diploma (business studies or equivalent), 1st degree or MBA
  • Strong acumen for business planning and an understanding of current CQC requirements
  • Experience of handling financial systems for the practice, including payroll and ideally monthly P & L
  • Experience of current HR practices including selecting, training and supervision of non-clinical staff
  • A thorough understanding of medical management systems
  • Experience of running multi-site business units - desired but not essential.
  • Experience in developing strategies for the practice on issues such as IT and security, expanding or changing services, and long-term services
  • A working knowledge of procurement practices within medical supplies
  • Ability to lead from the front, motivating, mentoring and encouraging engagement at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The successful applicant will be expected to meet the English language fluency requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016.
