With over 5,000 verified members, First Practice Management (FPM Group) is the UK’s largest online information and support resource for GP Practice managers, providing bespoke recruitment, consultancy and training services as well as software compliance solutions to Primary Care organisations and SMEs across the UK. The FPM Group is part of Stericycle, a global company based in the United States.
Our core FPM subscription service includes providing members with HR/Employment Law information, guidance and advice via a number of channels including email, telephone and website, providing commentary, scholarly articles and opinion pieces, and we’d love you to join the team to help us deliver, improve and develop this service.
It’s a much more diverse role than a ‘marketing opportunity’ - reporting directly to the FPM Content Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the FPM Group in the key role of maximising all content marketing opportunities and reaching the widest possible audience. This will include designing, maintaining, and creating content for all the social media platforms and the website
You will be creating and co-ordinating customer newsletters, social media, and innovative marketing campaigns for FPM Group products and services, managing our social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, and various blogging sites.
Variety is the name of the game with the Content Team – one day you could be putting together our weekly bulletin, the next you could be writing a blog, creating or editing a video for our Youtube channel, preparing a webinar, or celebrating our Practice of the Month.
As a team we like to build and prepare by planning concepts from start to finish, supporting each other with ideas and encouraging creativity. Sometimes you can explain things better with a video or infographic rather than a blog
We don’t like to spam our members (hey, who does?!) so when we send out marketing campaigns, we’re careful to make sure it’s relevant, readable and legible.
Are we looking for a self-starter who likes to get stuck in? Of course we are, but you’ll be part of a team that believes in getting the best out of each other, so you’ll get all the help and support you need.
We’re looking for someone who thinks outside the box and enjoys bringing new ideas to the table, someone with a real passion for content and digital marketing, and reaching audiences through multiple online platforms. You’ll be highly analytical with a great head for data and a creative eye for the visuals, and can attract our existing members (and new customers) to our sites, software, services and social media.
You should have some experience of working in a digital capacity – we’d love to hear about any prior experience of managing websites / Content Management Systems (CMS), HTML, CSS, SEO and Google Analytics.
The jobholder supports the FPM Team, the Stericycle marketing team, and other Stericycle commercial functions in their main responsibility to deliver content engagement strategies and sales growth.
Don’t have healthcare experience? It’s not essential, but even if you haven’t, we’ll give you all the information you need to know along with regular group updates.

You will also use your analytical skills to analyse and investigate on-site customer behaviour, suggesting improvements where relevant (via online mediums such as google analytics), track e-mail campaigns, social media campaigns, etc.
Currently, we are working from home, but our business is based in Leeds. We're not going back to the office just yet, but when we do, there will be a form of blended working (mostly WFH, with some office meetings arranged in advance).
