First Practice Management
- Posted Monday April 24, 2017
Last Thursday saw the first of FPM Group’s Practice Management Conferences, with the sold-out event taking place on a bright and sunny day at BMA House in Tavistock Square, London.
More than a hundred delegates arrived to hear from a selection of primary care experts and enjoy an informative day of networking, knowledge sharing and problem solving.
The one-day conference covered a range of issues that impact the management and efficiency of GP practices. Matthew Wright, General Manager for FPM, began the day by welcoming the attendees and providing a brief overview of the day’s proceedings.
Expert speakers Phil Harnby of RMT Accountants, FPM Group HR Advisor Lisa Wainwright and Thornfields' Training Delivery Manager Charan Sarai then delivered informative sessions covering the four biggest challenges currently facing primary care professionals:
- Controlling your practice finances and how to maximise income
- The NHS General Practice Forward View – what does it mean for your practice?
- Your people: are they a cost or an investment?
- Managing your time and working more effectively
During the day, attendees were equipped with a wealth of knowledge and insight to take back and apply to the day-to-day workings of their own practice, and there was plenty of opportunity to network and interact with fellow primary care professionals.
Lunch and refreshments were provided throughout the day and went down a treat with delegates. The key topics that matter most to practice managers were covered during the day-long event, making for a useful. enjoyable and informative day.
Stay tuned to the FPM Blog, Twitter and Facebook pages to be among the first to hear about the next leg of our Practice Management Conference – tickets are sure to fly out just as fast as they did for this sold-out event!
A great day was had by all and the FPM team are looking forward to the next Practice Management Conference.
