On 1 October 2014, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) began using its new approach to inspect and regulate adult social care services. The new style CQC inspections aim to assess whether a practice meets the “Five Key Questions” about their services – namely, are they Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led? This model is underpinned by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, which include the fundamental standards introduced in April 2015.

Dear Angela We are planning to hold a further roadshow in November probably in the Watford area which may be more accessible. However, should we receive many requests for a particular area then we may consider this. Many thanks, Helen

Dear Pam. Unfortunately we have no plans to hold a roadshow in Manchester this year as we recently held our first one in Leeds in June. However, if you think there is a need in your area for further training then we do have CQC workshops which may help. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss in more detail. Helen

Are there plans for a CQC roadshow in the northwest? I came to the last one in Manchester for the original CQC inspections and found it very helpful and would like the opportunity to attend.
