Following recent changes to the CQC inspection process for GP Practices in England, First Practice Management (FPM) have reviewed and updated the FPM CQC Index in the protocol library.
In order to aid Practice Managers with the new style of assessments, members can now access all the documents needed to be CQC complaint with a step by step guide to fulfilling all five key questions to the best of your Practice’s ability.
The changes to the inspection process were published on October 9th after the pilot process found flaws in the inspections and will be locked in for another two years for consistency. The new process also includes two new Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) regarding healthy living and patient consent, with further focus on things like business continuity and risk management plans.
FPM’s CQC Index has sections for each of the key questions, looking at all five in further detail – along with all the KLOEs and prompts. For each KLOE, there are downloadable documents you can access and print or save to your computer to ensure that your Practice remains CQC compliant and that you are completely up to date with current rules and regulations.
The library is consistently updated on a regular basis to make sure Practice Managers can easily update their own library to reflect the ever changing nature of primary care, helping you to always remain safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-lead.
FPM Members now have access to the newly updated Index via the website. For more information visit the FPM Policies and Procedures Library: CQC Index.
