Finance Webinar No 3 – Financial Forecasting

On March 29th we held the second event in our series of finance webinars, with accountant Phil Harnby taking around twenty attendees through the basics of how practice managers become partners.

With managers representing practices right across the country, Phil tackled many of the key questions and concerns many people have when deciding whether or not to become a partner including:

  • The different types of partnership
  • Tax and pensions when you’re a partner
  • Some of the best resources to help you make your decision

Numerous questions were submitted both in advance and at the session itself, with attendees asking about negotiating minimum level salaries, how to make the move from fixed share to variable partner, how to plan for advance tax when you become a partner, and questions around professional indemnity insurance.

All of the detail from the session and the questions Phil answered are included in our handy summary pack, distributed after each session.

You can also view a recording of the video here.

Phil will be running his next free session on the topic of Financial Forecasting, which will be held on Thursday 28th April at 2pm. In it, he’ll give us all the inside information on how to forecast like a pro, including:

  • You don’t need to be psychic…
  • Simple tips for a forecast
  • Income recognition
