First Practice Management is proud to announce the results of the 2019 Practice Manager Salary Survey, which received more than 750 responses from GP managers across the UK. This year we are asking if it is time for Practice Managers’ salaries to be standardised… what do you think?
For many years, our survey has seen Practice Managers comment on the wide range of salaries for PMs, even within the same locality. Of course there are plenty of considerations to weigh up when it comes to salaries, such as list size, location and length of service.
As one respondent pointed out however, these factors aren’t always clear cut: “List size affects salary, but smaller practices mean the PM has to do more of the work!”
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year's survey - let us know your thoughts on the results and the issues of standardisation in the comments section below.
If you’re a First Practice Management member, you can access the full, detailed breakdown of results as well as more detailed analysis here.
The survey ran from 25 September 2019 to 22 November 2019 and focused on income received between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019.
