Are you ready for the SNOMED switch?

Our Thornfields trainers will be delivering SNOMED Workshops from September, to book your place or to gain more information please get in touch using our enquiry form below.

What is SNOMED?

SNOMED CT stands for “Systematised Nomenclature of Medicine - Clinical Terms” and is a common clinical language that will replace Read codes within the NHS.

The Thornfields workshop will give delegates a clear understanding of both the transformational and transactonal elements of this change, providing a strategic overview of ‘why’ and an operational understanding of ‘how’ to meet the deadline for all GP practices to have transitioned, both Read v2 and CTV3, to SNOMED CT before 1st April 2018.

Delegates will develop a clear action plan so they understand what this means for their practices, what is likely to happen automatically and what they are likely to need to do for themselves.

Testimonials

Just attended a training session taken by Charan at the Ramada Hotel in Nottingham. I have worked for the NHS for 30 years and this is the best course I've been on! We actually felt that Charan knew exactly what we experience on a day to day basis in general practice and it was a great afternoons refresher session.

Sue Carter, Elmswood Surgery

All of the topics were interesting. The trainer was brilliant. I have really enjoyed the course and will be taking a lot away with me today.
