MTIS Holiday Scheduler: absence monitoring tool ideal for practices

MTIS Holiday Scheduler is a product used by hundreds of companies; from small companies with around ten staff, right up to blue-chip companies, such as the National Blood Service, Gerling, Initial Hygiene, the RAC and Motorola. Many national health practices use the product.
MTIS Holiday Scheduler allows companies and organisations to monitor
staff holidays, sickness and training. Which means organisations
can plan work load during holiday periods effectively.
It is extremely
simple to use and requires no training. In addition to holidays,
sickness and training, the user can allocate six other codes to monitor
such things as maternity leave, jury service, secondment, etc. Monthly
calendars give a clear indication of staff availability. Because
of the visual impact it is easy to see patterns of absence.
Individual
reports can be produced for each member of staff detailing holiday
taken and booked, and any outstanding holiday. This is supported
by individual calendars which show an individuals absences for a
complete year on one page.
NHS Case Study :
Hourly-based holidays
One development, specifically carried out for Parsons Heath Medical
Practice, has been a scheduler with holidays allocated in hours.
With many practices operating with part-time staff and job sharing,
some practices allocate holidays in hours rather than days.
Practice
manager Jan Wood says: "Since we calculate holiday at our practice in hours, it was difficult to find an off-the-shelf programme that did this. MTIS worked with us to develop an excellent solution that will save us a great deal of time when managing holiday, sickness and study leave."
This application, along with standard schedulers, can be downloaded and
trialled free for seven days.
Purchasing is easy. Following a successful trial, the customer
simply has to return to the website, quote a registration number
and make payment. With prices starting at £40,
the product soon pays for itself in saved administration time, not
to mention control of unauthorised leave.
