Practice Manager Salary Survey 2015

The Institute for Fiscal Studies announced earlier this year that incomes had grown by 1.8 per cent between 2011/2012 and 2014/2015. It may have been a slow economic recovery, but figures suggested that incomes were finally back to pre-recession figures. But has this current trend been replicated for Practice Managers across the UK and how does it vary from region to region? These are questions that FPM Practice Managers’ Salary Survey aims to answer once again this year.

Practice Manager Salary Survey 2015

Since it is the survey’s 11th birthday this year, we have decided to give away an iPad mini 3 to one lucky Practice Manager. All you need to do is fill in your name and email before completing the survey, and your name will automatically be entered into our prize draw. The winner will be randomly selected and announced on October 21 2015. All responses to the survey will still remain completely confidential.

FPM has once again partnered up with Towergate who offer special membership benefits for insurance. Together, we plan to collate and calculate the average Practice Manager’s salaries and year on year percentage change, as well as providing a detailed bonus analysis.

Practice Manager Salary Survey 2014

Last year’s survey showed that the average UK Practice Manager’s salary across the nation was £39,225 – this was a 1% decrease on figures from 2013. The UK’s lowest salary was found in Northern Ireland at £24,175, while the highest (£66,050) was in the South of England and belonged to a non-partner Practice Manager.

684 (75%) Practice Manager’s also reported that they did not receive a bonus for 2013/14. Most of those who did receive a bonus were awarded between £0 - £1,500, although one Practice Manager reported that they had received a £16,000 bonus.

As the number one support hub for Practice Managers, we first put the survey together a whole eleven years ago in order to help you decide whether you are getting the pay you deserve or not, and to assist with any potential career moves. Since then we have received plenty of responses to the confidential survey, and as with previous years we hope that Practice Managers will continue to contribute in order answer those burning questions relating to pay within the profession.
