Shields
David
Shields is an independent management consultant with a special interest
in healthcare reform. He has worked in the primary healthcare field,
as a practice and business manager, trainer and organisational development
adviser since 1990 and most recently as a market intelligence specialist
working on behalf of First Practice Management. He also writes occasional
articles and provides input to other primary healthcare-related magazines
and organisations
A close
associate of First Practice Management and regular contributor to
the First Practice Management forum, David is also a former intelligence
officer with NATO and the UN, working in the Middle East and Balkans
as well as the UK. He combines his former skills in the field of human
resource and organisational development with his current expertise
as a market intelligence analyst to design and deliver workshops on
a wide-range of topical subjects of relevance to practice managers.
