Jeremy Thorn works closely with senior management teams throughout the NHS and its agencies, as an experienced workshop leader, away-day facilitator, action learning set co-ordinator, leadership coach and qualified psychometrician.

With post-graduate training at Cranfield University and the London Business School, Jeremy has run small and large organisations in his own right in both the public and private sectors. Author of several prize-winning management books and a wide array of practical articles for journals in the health-care sector in particular, he brings deep insight, a wealth of practical experience and liberating enjoyment to professional managers nationwide.

He says: “Managing in the health-care sector must be one of the most challenging jobs possible. With constant change, ambiguity and pressure on resources, there are inevitably vast expectations that need managing carefully. One of the secrets of success I find in any organisation is to step back occasionally and reflect not just on ‘what has to be done’, but ‘how and with whom’. Most Practices have the necessary processes and systems in place; often it is us fallible humans who make life quite so challenging! And that is where I can perhaps help most effectively.
